Projects
These are several of projects that showcase the skills I have picked up in my learning.
CEIS 101 COURSE PROJECT
Built a smart home security system by using Tinkercad and IoT Tech Core Kit. Used the Arduino IDE to do the programming. The projects we developed through this project is a door sensor to see when the door is open and closed, automated lights that turn on and off, and a distance sensor to detect for a home intruder. The course was able to show me how the different devices work to help to monitor different aspects of a home.

CEIS 110 Course Project
We used python to connect to the US government National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather data service using a cloud-based Application Programming Interface (API). We used the data analytics to gather information to build graphs and create our own analysis and predictions.

Linux Project
In the course we were able to learn the Linux operating system. We worked with the networking commands, shell scripts, variable paths, files and directories. I was able to get to work with the basic tools of the Linux operating system to get experience and knowledge on the way Linux works. It was a great experience in the knowledge I gained in the course.

Netw191
In this course I learned what subnets are and how to use them in different ways. I was able to see the difference in the cables switches, and routers and how they all work together with the information passing through in packets. I was able to pick up and learn many different troubleshooting and security tools and skills that are at my disposal.

CEIS 114
In this course I was able to build a crosswalk device with a emergency light to go with it. I was able to learn more about how important security is in the IoT career no matter if it with our information being secured or if it is with our physical safety at hand with the devices we use everyday in our life.

NETW 211
In the course I had the opportunity to see and understand the role the cloud plays in the world. I had the chance to create a cloud and practice on how to set it up and set rules and alerts for the cloud. I was able to see the benefits the cloud provides from the aspect of storage to security and how it is becoming a game changer in the corporate world in the way they operate.

SEC285
In this course I was able to learn about the Fundamentals of Information System Security. I was able to get learn about encryption keys and how they worked with sending and receiving information to how they worked when surfing the internet. I got to get a better understanding on how risk management works at home and in a business and how to determine the weakness are and how to correct them. While in this course I was able to write a policy for a company for the devices and their security. In this course I got a better understanding of all the risk that are out there and how to go about protecting myself or my place of work in my new career I plan to have.

SEC290
In this course of Fundamentals of Infrastructure Security I was able to learn about many aspects of Infrastructure Security. I was able to see the many different tools used in forensics with gathering evidence. Understanding the analysis and vulnerabilities while also learning about the chain of command in gathering evidence. I was able to see and learn how security software is developed in many different ways depending on the companies needs or wants and how the management of security works.

NETW310
In this course I was able to learn many different forms of transmissions of types of media in todays world. I was able to use different types of graphs and tools to help analyze different information and see how it all works together and what it means. I also was able to learn all the different devices and networks either physical or virtual for a secure systems.

•Weeks 2 through 7 we used a few sensors and series of equations with our data points to get results for velocity of free-falling objects.
•We use tools like ultrasonic sensors, Hall Senso, and Excel to get our results with the data points.
•Our objectives were to see the difference in results using the sensors and how they may vary in results from one data point to another data point and how we can use equations to get our results and see the difference in change from each results.
